Charles Stevenson LAMB was born 3 Dec 1866 in Washington Twp, Camden County, NJ. He died 18 Oct 1941 in Camden, NJ and was buried Oct 1941 in S-107, Evergreen Cem, Camden.

NAME: Charles presumably was named for Charles Stevenson, executor of the will of Charles' father Daniel, mentioned by Daniel in his will as a friend.  Stevenson was interred in same Blackwood, NJ churchyard as Daniel.

OCCUPATION:  In Jan., 1893, Charles' occupation was listed as baker.  In 1900, operated a grocery store at 250 Kaighn Ave., Camden.

Charles married Emma Cecilia Virginia BERRY, daughter of Benjamin L. BERRY and Emma Cecilia HARTMAN. Emma was born 1 Jun 1868 in Philadelphia, , PA. She died 19 Apr 1920 in Blackwood, NJ and was buried in S-107, Evergreen Cem, Camden, NJ.

RESIDENCES: During the 1920's resided at 610 Clinton St., Camden,NJ. First child Arthur's 1893 place of birth was listed as 326 Line St, Camden. Before marriage, he resided at Lamb family farm in Grenloch, NJ.  After Emma died in 1920, moved alone to 271 Burwood, the home of his sister Mary and her husband, Charles Chamberlain.  Only a yard separated the Charles Chamberlain homestead from 273 Burwood, home of Raymond Chamberlain family.  

Charles and Emma (known as Virgie) had the following children:

Arthur B. LAMB was born 28 Jan 1893 in Camden, NJ. He died as a child in 1898.
Edith May LAMB was born 18 Feb 1895 and died 29 Jan 1932.
Virginia LAMB was born 22 Dec 1897 and died 21 Feb 1983.
Elsie Marie LAMB was born 20 Jun 1900 and died 29 Aug 1987.
Charles Stevenson LAMB Jr. was born 1 Mar 1903, died 2 Jul 1961 in New York, NY
